About the Supermoon Series
A supermoon is a new or full moon that occurs at or near the perigee of its orbit, meaning it will be its closest to the Earth. Not only will the moon appear bigger and brighter, but its influence on the earth and tides is stronger during this time. This year, we have a series of three super moons, starting in August with, appropriately, the full Sturgeon Moon. The second in the series is September’s Harvest Moon, when the full moon will not only be the closest of the year, but also experience a full lunar eclipse. The final supermoon of the series is October’s Hunter’s moon.
Please join us for one, two, or all three of our special supermoon ceremonies!
We will walk the labyrinth in celebration of each moon’s traditional seasonal meaning, reconnecting with the earth’s natural rhythms, as well as the power these moons have together. This three-part series will invite you to observe the miracles around us that are illuminated by the closeness of these three supermoons. All in attendance are invited to take home moon water that has been blessed and infused at the center of the labyrinth with the energy and power of each moon and used in the ceremony.
We look forward to seeing you!
