SPECIAL SUPERMOON SERIES!
August 29 | The Sturgeon Moon
September 27 | The Harvest Moon
October 27 | The Hunter’s Moon
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that falls closest to the autumnal equinox. This year, the Harvest Moon coincides with the Corn moon. Both are traditionally named for their welcome ability to illuminate the sky, helping us bring in the fall harvest. This full moon invite us to shine extra light on the relationships in our lives – both those that are coming to a close like the year’s harvest, and those that will warm and nourish us through the winters ahead.
This is an amazingly powerful moon, with a number of celestial occurring together. The September supermoon is the second in this year’s series of three. It will be the biggest and brightest of the supermoons – and all of 2015 – as it coincides with lunar perigee, the point in orbit when the moon is closest to Earth. Additionally, as mentioned above, this year’s Corn Moon falls closest to the fall equinox and earns another distinction as the Harvest Moon. And finally, a total lunar eclipse will grace us on the same night.
September’s Harvest Moon will be an evening to remember!
Join us for our special ceremony and labyrinth walk to welcome the energy of this moon, and to reflect on and rejoice in the relationships that shape our lives.

About the Supermoon Series
A supermoon is a new or full moon that occurs at or near the perigee of its orbit, meaning it will be its closest to the Earth. Not only will the moon appear bigger and brighter, but its influence on the earth and tides is stronger during this time. This year, we have a series of three super moons, starting in August with, appropriately, the full Sturgeon Moon. The second in the series is September’s Harvest Moon, when the full moon will not only be the closest of the year, but also experience a full lunar eclipse. The final supermoon of the series is October’s Hunter’s moon.
Please join us for one, two, or all three of our special supermoon ceremonies!
We will walk the labyrinth in celebration of each moon’s traditional seasonal meaning, reconnecting with the earth’s natural rhythms, as well as the power these moons have together. This three-part series will invite you to observe the miracles around us that are illuminated by the closeness of these three supermoons. All in attendance are invited to take home moon water that has been blessed and infused at the center of the labyrinth with the energy and power of each moon and used in the ceremony.
We look forward to seeing you!
